Hello Cat City

Greetings from Kuching! Yes, I’m currently having a short break at the cat city. Life over here certainly isn’t as busy as that in KL. If you’re tired of your hectic lifestyle and want to have some peace, and not forgetting mouth-watering good food, I would recommend you to book a flight here =)

Our Sony PSP and Sony MP4, both in awesome white! Taken in Air Asia flight XD I promised to show you the MP4 I won, didn’t I? This is it!

Anyway, I haven’t really have time to catch up with my babes. The previous weekend we had together was never enough X( Gotta thank Katie for helping me with my Mister Potato post especially the photoshop editing. Your skill is still as good as ever! Gotta learn a bit from you next time (I can’t remember how many times exactly I’ve repeated this sentence -.-)

I love you despite you looking retarded in these pictures XD

And our forever lovely Jess! Catchya when I’m back =P

Have I told you that I did not attend Nuffnang Wild Life Party because I went home and celebrate dad’s birthday? But I actually forgot to wish him on his actual birthday. Le sigh. I didn’t even say “Happy birthday, papa!” to him! He must be really disappointed. I’m not a very good daughter after all, am I? X(

Me: I want to take picture with this gigantic fish head!
Dad: Your mouth resembles the fish’s. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

What kinda father is that??? Criticised his own daughter like a fish one?

Wtfish.

More updates on Kuching soon!

Movie Carnival @ 1U

Robb: Kate, do you consider yourself as a princess?
Kate: Emm. . Yea I guess? Why???
Robb: Are you interested in dressing up as a princess?
Kate: OMG absolutely yes! I want to dress up as a princess! I want to be a princess! XD

And that’s it. I became one of the participants in the Movie Carnival held by Columbia Tristar in 1U Oval Lower Ground. One of the movies they are promoting is “Prom Night”. And for this particular movie, they are searching for girls to dress up in princess prom dress and parade on the stage.

(Looked so un-glam in this pic wtfreak)

The day before, I spent my entire afternoon searching for an appropriate costume. Isn’t it great that we could claim RM80 from the organizer for our costume? It wasn’t merely a performance but a competition as well. But of course, I did not expect to win away the one and only grand prize, Sony MP4 NWZ-S618F worth RM699 as stated. All that I wanted was the allowance they were gonna pay us for participating.

So on that day, I overslept and woke up in fright only to realized that it was already 1.15pm. At that time, I was supposed to be in 1U for the briefing. It was likely that I couldn’t make it. But thanks to Nick who was willing to come all the way here and fetched me all the way there. I couldn’t have got there in time without his help!

Once I reached the place, I rushed into the back stage and changed. And as I stepped out, I got the hugest shock of my life – one of the judges is Josh Lim from advertlets! OMG wtfreak??? And I just happened to meet him in Aloha the night before. I must have looked really shock that my jaw nearly dropped. I had a bad feeling that the whole thing would be screwed =x

Anyway, everything went well according to the schedule. I didn’t really know how I should answer when they asked for my most memorable prom experience so I just babbled some nonsense =P

The final two. Who will be our prom night princess??? Look at my odd expression -.-

Ok I admit it. I got the grand prize which consists of Sony MP4 and lotsa goodies vouchers. And I was like, “Hey Josh, surprise!” XD

A group picture including the prom night couple participants.

A shot with 3 other princesses before transforming into our normal self.

Oh, beneath it was a charming English man who bowed and kissed my hand at the back stage. Now, do you prefer British or American? XD

Josh: Soooooo lucky lah you, joined through Nuffnang and won the prize from Advertlets.

LOL.

My Sony MP4 is working well. The best thing is, the colour is white! Do check it out on my next post ;)

Made of Honour @ JW Marriott

Made of Honour event at JW Marriot Hotel by Hong Leong Bank and Columbia Tristar.

Remember the fishing game? Fortunately I managed to get into the top 40 winner list and went for the 8 course meal that night.

The dashing partner =)

Did I tell you that I’m getting sick of my camera? Below are some pictures credited to David the bunny.

The most awesome part of the event was the free flow of whiskey and champagne served throughout the night.

The menu.

Pineapple Chutney with Smoked Duck, Seared Tiger Prawn with Tomato Salsa enhanced with Kerabu Mangga.
The first dish, which was one my favourite dishes. It resembles the first dish served during Chinese wedding dinner, except in an individual portion. I like the duck meat especially!

Shredded Chicken with Bamboo Pith Soup.
I didn’t know bamboo would taste that yummy! I finished the bowl of soup in no time =)

Sauteed Julienne of Seafood with Curried Mushroom Cream Sauce served in Yam Ring.
A pretty interesting dish. I would say it was rather good.

Steamed Seabass with Thai Sauce accompanied with Chinese Steamed Lotus Leaf Rice.
I was excited by the sight of the fish when the waiter served the dish. However, it didn’t turn out as expected. The fish wasn’t fresh at all. In fact, it tasted so horrible that I was having a hard time finishing it. Even the rice was so-and-so. I would rather eat my home made rice dumpling.

Roasted Chicken Parcel on Pencil Asparagus served with Percik Sauce.
Hate the chicken. I took 3 bites and left the rest on the plate. Perhaps the previous dish had ruined my appetite. Or maybe I’m not a chicken-person after all. Wtfreak.

Saffron Risotto with Buttered Baby Carrot.
Yucky. Terrible. Can someone tell me what on earth is Saffron Risotto made of? An Italian food, isn’t? Tasted like barf. I observed that I wasn’t the only one who was nauseated by this dish. Almost the whole table found the taste sickening. Hikaru, the picky boy just left the whole dish aside. At least I finished the cute-looking baby carrots! XD

Chocolate Moist Cake with Fruits Coulis Tropical Fresh Fruits served with Haagen-Dazs!!!
OMG that was the best ever dish of the night! I felt as if I was in paradise. Soon, I forgot all about the previous yucky dishes I had. And all of a sudden, my mind was soothed, and everything seemed to be calm and happy again.

Another glance at the heavenly dish. Wish we could have more!

Coffee or tea?

Of course, there were performances and games organized to spark up the event.

Fashion show.

The champion team for the talented couple competition. Can you believe that they are 14 and 9???

This is what they do during Scottish traditional wedding. It was shown during a scene in the movie.

Girls rule! Me, Sherry, Jane and Steph. I love this picture!

With Ren the pimp XD

Me, Kelz, David and Sheng Mae.

Tim the boss.

Me and Aaron. My eyes so sepet geh???

The pic of me and Joshua Ong which appeared in Nuffnang’s blog.

Uncle Josh and I in white.

A group picture in which everyone looks nice =)

After the event ended in JW Marriott, we proceeded to Pavilion for the movie screening. It was so cool having the guards controlling the traffic and leading the way for us. What’s more, how often do you get to see so many hundreds of men in coat walking simultaneously towards the cinema? For once I felt like a real VIP! =)

Oh, did I mention that each of us got a goodie bag? It’s a paper bag with the picture of “Made of Honour” printed with lotsa goodies inside (mostly for commercial and advertising purpose lol)

It was an enjoyable night after all =)

Roxy Summer Splash

Yes, I went to Roxy Summer Splash!

Thanks to the generous Quicksilver man, Nigel for the entrance tickets! =)

Photos from Splashmilk.

Smashpop the gay =x

I wasn’t pretending to be ahlian. Just couldn’t help showing a peace sign when I finally managed to got in after hours of pushing and shoving XD

Pic from Jenifer babe whom I met for the first time =)

What’s a splash party without us getting wet?
p/s: Hikaru was scarily fair like a pig. LOL.

There were way way way too many people who showed up for the event. So it kinda sucked after all X(

And the worst thing was, we had to walk a big round to the elephant walk instead of using the nearest exit when it ended. Just look at we poor fellas!
