Ippudo Ramen, Mandarin Gallery Singapore

Ever since my visit to Ippudo Ramen in Singapore, I have developed a new affection towards ramen.

Somewhere at Mandarin Gallery, Orchard Road, you will find a long queue outside this ramen shop, the waiting time of which is approximately one hour. Being two enthusiastic tourist, Jess and I decided to queue up like everyone else since we had been anticipating this ramen from day one of our Singapore tip.

Prices for ramen here starts from SGD16 onwards. That’s pretty cheap if you were a Singaporean.

Upon placing your order, you’ll be asked whether you want your ramen done soft, medium or hard. To stay on the safe side, we opted for medium.

It was jam packed even at 9pm. Most of the customers were young ramen lovers.

Shiromaru Motoaji – SGD15 This is the classic Hakata-style ramen. The soup, the pork, the spring onion and everything tasted just right! It is no wonder people are willing to wait an hour for Ippudo Ramen! We finished every single bit of it.

Akamaru Shinaji – SGD16. With the special blended miso paste, the soup has a stronger taste compared to the classic. Highly addictive as I couldn’t stop drinking the soup even after finishing the ramen XD

The portion was just right. Trust me, you’ll want to finish everything in the bowl even if you aren’t quite a big eater. It simply tastes so heavenly!

Now now, add on Ippudo Ramen to your must-visit list in Singapore. I will certainly queue up for this fantastic ramen again during my next trip!
